Set in the Italian Forum among some of Leichhardt's best (and maybe most touristically appealing) restaurants, this is honest, home-style Italian cooking at its best. The three-course set menu is well priced and popular with regulars, as are the pizzas, which are tasty, traditional and filling. The atmosphere is usually buzzing and warm, and BYO is available at a reasonable price.

My wife and I have been dining at this restaurant over the last year and a half now and have got to say the food service ambience is sublime and the fact it is family owned and operated keeps us coming back for more and more the girls are so warm friendly and inviting . It is our favourite restaurant in Sydney and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great night out !

Ive been here 3 times with my beautiful Italian partner and each and everytime I have dined in I felt very welcome with friendly warm service with a smile. its nice and simple yet I found much elegance in that, Like a traditional Italian restaurant should.
The food is just absolutely magnificent nothing short of spectacular. La Giara use everything fresh, an example would been there traditional tomatoes on the pizza instead of opting for sloppy sauce. There calamari IS A MUST! garlic bread is amazing,pasta sensational.
I highly recommend and will be back for many years too come.

We were able to use our entertainment card for 6 people. The food was great, abundant and fast in coming. The service was friendly and the staff was good looking too!

When visiting my cousin in Sydney she took me here its a really pleasant time. The food was really delicious and the staff are so friendly. It was a really enjoyable night!!
